Realnet are an established and growing Web Agency based in Cambridge. Having started in 1999 we have grown to design, develop and manage a large range of exciting websites, including e-commerce and highly bespoke database driven sites.

As we continue to perform well we are seeking a lead web developer to drive our development team and systems up to the next level.

About You

You'll need to be passionate about web development and helping clients. You'll have high standards and be described as a bright, friendly, enthusiastic and courteous team player.

You'll need 4 or more years experience as a web developer and prefereably be educated to degree level.

Job Description

Initially you'll be responsible for new and ongoing developments on a range of high quality complex websites with daily tasks including, but not limited to :- Planning and developing new websites and regular site improvements, maintenance and problem solving.

Going forward you'll be looking to take responsibility for the development team, liaise with clients, push forward with our development methodologies and systems and ensure that projects are delivered to specification.

Required Skills

Our websites are all built using the standard open source LAMP platform.

PHP5 (Object Oriented Development)
MySQL
HTML and CSS
jQuery / Javascript
CMS Systems (bespoke or off the shelf)
XML (inc. Webservices)

Advantageous Experience – But Not Required

MVC Frameworks (preferably CodeIgniter)
Concrete 5
CSS3, CSS less
Linux/Unix Admin
Version control
Managing development projects through the full life-cycle
